1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address and display name when you register.
• Profile data — the avatar emoji you choose.
• Location data — your device's GPS coordinates, used to detect when you arrive at or leave a group's location. Background location is used only when you have an active group with auto check-in enabled.
• Check-in records — timestamps of when you checked in and out of group locations.
• Group data — groups you create or join, including the group's pinned location and radius.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To show your group members whether you are present at a location.
• To automatically check you in or out when you enter or leave a geofenced area.
• To send you local reminder notifications if you have been checked in for an extended period.
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

3. Location Data

Any1There requests foreground and background location permission solely to power the automatic check-in and check-out feature. Your precise location is processed on your device to determine proximity to a group location. We do not build a history of everywhere you have been — only active check-in status is stored.

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings. Manual check-in remains available without location permission.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies that ensure users can only access data they are permitted to see. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, acting as a data processor.
• Apple / Google — push notification delivery (no personal content is shared, only a device token).
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Opt out of background location at any time via device Settings.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Check-in records older than 90 days are automatically deleted. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Any1There is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
