1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the service:

Account & Profile Information

• Display name — shown to members of your groups.
• Email address — used to authenticate your account.
• Phone number — collected at registration for account verification and future communication features.
• Avatar emoji — a visual identifier you choose.

Location Data

• Precise GPS coordinates — used only to detect when you arrive at or leave a group's geofenced area. Background location is accessed only when you have granted "Always" permission and have an active group with auto check-in enabled.
• We do not store a continuous history of your movements — only your current check-in status is persisted.

Check-in & Group Data

• Timestamps of when you checked in and out of group locations.
• Whether a check-in was automatic (geofence-triggered) or manual.
• Groups you create or join, including the group's pinned location and radius.

Feedback & Support

• Messages you voluntarily submit through the in-app feedback form, including the category (bug, suggestion, or other) and the message text.

Usage & Analytics Data

• Aggregated, anonymised usage patterns (e.g. how often certain features are used, peak usage times, group size distributions). This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify individual users.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To show your group members whether you are present at a shared location.
• To automatically check you in or out when you enter or leave a geofenced area.
• To send push notifications about group activity and check-in reminders.
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• To respond to feedback and improve the app.
• To produce anonymous, aggregated statistical insights about how the service is used (e.g. popular location categories, average group sizes). These insights may be used internally or shared with partners in a form that cannot identify any individual user.
• To offer optional in-app features or purchases in the future (e.g. tips, premium group features). Any such features will be clearly presented as optional.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Location Data

Any1There requests foreground and background location permission solely to power the automatic check-in and check-out feature. Your precise GPS coordinates are compared on-device against the geofence boundaries of your active groups. Only the resulting check-in status (present / not present) is sent to our servers — not the raw coordinates.

We do not build or sell a location history. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings. Manual check-in remains fully available without location permission.

4. Aggregated & Anonymous Insights

We may derive and use aggregated, anonymised statistics from user activity — for example, the total number of check-ins at a type of location, peak usage hours, or region-level activity trends. This information is stripped of all personal identifiers before analysis or sharing.

Such anonymous insights may be used to improve the app, to inform future product decisions, or to provide aggregate trend data to organisations (such as venue operators or researchers) who may find them valuable. No individual user can be identified from this data.

5. Optional In-App Purchases & Future Features

Any1There may introduce optional paid features in the future, such as the ability to tip group creators, unlock cosmetic upgrades, or access premium group tools. Participation in any paid feature is entirely voluntary. If in-app purchases are introduced, payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play — we do not store your payment card details.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies that ensure each user can only access data they are authorised to see. All data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS/TLS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, acting as a data processor under appropriate data-processing terms.
• Apple / Google — push notification delivery via APNs / FCM (only a device token is shared — no message content or personal data).
• Aggregate insights partners — anonymised, non-identifiable statistical data only (see Section 4).
• Legal requirements — if required by applicable law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
• Business transfers — if Any1There is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction; you will be notified in advance.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all personally identifiable data.
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Opt-out of location — revoke location permission at any time in device Settings without losing access to manual check-in.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, personally identifiable data is removed upon request. Anonymised, aggregated statistics cannot be linked back to you and may be retained indefinitely.

10. Children's Privacy

Any1There is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
